Choi Kyu-Nam

Kim Han-Jung
Abstract
Most common malignant tumors of the face are basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. There are four principles in management of these carcinomas ; chemotherapy, radiation, cautery and electrodesication, surgical excision.

The major problem after surgical excision is how to repair of the defect site.

We have experienced three cases of malignant skin tumor arising on the face.

First case, a 67 year old male patient who had a baso-squamous cell carcinoma around the nose and on the right lower eyelid. The lesion was excised and the Fricke flap was used for reconstruction of the lower eyelid.

Second case, a 43 year old female patient who had a basal cell carcinoma on the both cheek. The lesion was widely excised and split thickness skin graft was done.

Third case, a 43 year old male patient who had a squamous cell carcinoma on the lower lip. The lesion was excised and the modified Estlander flap was used for reconstruction of the lower lip.

We reported our experience and reviewed literature.
